We have us some building to do! Getting a strong community started is hard work. I am MORE than willing to put in the time! Why? Because I believe it is what I was BORN to do!
I work my ass off getting this stuff together from all over the Internet and the world so we can make things happen! What kind of things? Superior quality music, learning expert recording skills as well producing skills, and to put icing on that cake... Promotion cooperation!
What in the hell is "Promotion Cooperation?" It's pooling our resources and winning the fame game! That's the deal. We all want the same damn thing, so let's get our act together and pull each other up! That makes for a real partnership.
I have been doing this stuff on my own for awhile. I've worked for big music websites and gained a lot of knowledge about promotion. I want to see things happen! I know what to do and it is gonna take more than one person to do it! I'm calling on YOU! Yeah, I said YOU!
So let's do it and quit dreaming!
This is gonna be HOT! It will take some time and a lot of work, but that is what I do. So let's ROCK!

Alright... My name is Krysis. Yes, it is a stage name My skills are as follows:
Computer hack, web designer, guitarist, keyboard plunker, bassist, songwriter, vocalist.
Not really in that order. I'm strange and have been called arrogant quite a bit. I don't care what you call me, just don't take things so seriously and I am the life of the party! I want to make lots of friends here and have fun. I know we all have really great skills to offer. Not all of us. Some people are plain useless. But, I like you anyway.
I'm old. Gonna be 47. Sometimes I act 65, sometimes 16. I'm divorced twice, marriage is not my bag. I have procreated many times and there are others around just like me. Very scary to some, a blessing to others. I will never which is which, or to whom it may concern.
I started in music later in life. I procreated and abused drugs first, that seemed like more fun at the time. I work in music full time, I have no other job. My job is to see if I can help you work in music full time, that is my job. I know you want to! Yes, I like my job a whole bunch.
So tell us about yourself.

This sounds pretty good. Looks like it just started. I am a bass player currently in a band called Hard Knocks. We are doing bar stuff right now but are recording a few originals. I'm 26 and have been playing 10 years. I like blues mainly but can play anything. Want to hook up with people who have some idea about the business.

I write hard edge pop sounds. I use Acid 5 and my computer but mostly I wirte words. It seem to be harder to sell just the words so I use these loop things to create a song for people to hear becuase I don't play any guitar or anything. I really hope there is something to this idea because it is really hard to sell just words. I don't know

You have to register to get rid of the security feature. Keeps people from using spam robots to hit and run comments. I kind of like that actually, it requires at least a minimum comittment to talk trash. ;D

I am a songwriter mainly, I haven't really performed much. I do play guitar and use that to come up with ideas. I record on the computer and I used to use a 4 track cassete deck, but the computer is way easier. I don't have a really fast computer right now, only 500mhz, but it does what I need it to. Right now I am recording some stuff, and I will give you a heads up when it is ready. Some of the other stuff I had was stuff I was doing while learning how to record on the computer, and old tape stuff I had. So I am not sure what my contrubution to this effort could be.

Hi I'm a songwriter from NC, very experienced in writing R&B, hip hop, & Pop songs over tracks. I also create (with your input of course) and sing the lyrical idea of the lead and background vocal arrangement over your track to give you the full presentation of the song to make it easier for you or your artist to follow along and learn it, so that you can practice it before going into the studio to sing the song in your own voice over your track all for a fee per song for the time and process involved. All this can be done over the internet for a fee.

Hey Mr Administrator, as your music colleage and buddy, I'm really impressed with all the mechanics of this site. Man, you can do all sorts of stuff lol. The capacity of you brains and skills is simply amazing. Is there ANYthing you can't do?

Well first of all, thank you. Actually, all of the mechanical aspect of putting together different sites is the simple part, motivating quality people, or even attracting quality people is the most difficult part of the journey by far! And yes, there are things I can't do, and to me it is almost as important to know that as it is what I am capable of. So welcome to you. Mr. Fargo, there is plenty you can do, and don't sell your computer short. I know a guy who used to record on what we would all label a dinosaur these days and he churned out some seriously good material! It still needed to be mastered though.

Awesome site. I'm a pianist trained in Classical but play jazz and other styles as well. Right now I'm working on my CD which I have recorded using my imac and MIDI equipment. It's overwhelming when it comes to all of the paramaters that one needs to know when it comes to recording, production, mastering, distribution, marketing, etc.,since i am new at this(that is doing it by myself rather than at a professional studio). You seem to have a great network that enables one to get things rolling. Am very interested in your services and would like to know if you work with solo artists such as myself. My CD is in the style of quasi new age. classical overtones and minimalistic qualities.

my name is Christian Mcclain. I create art-sound. They are songs that don't have the typical rock structure and try to convey color and taste and touch...etc. Outside of the reason I make this music, I personally feel that the world of music is starting to make a significant turn. It's already thumbing it's nose at the major labels, and now with bands like Sigur Ros, Mogwai, explosions in the sky, ...etc, that are making headlines, perception of what is popular music is starting to make the paradigm shift. I would like my music art to become a part of this movement BUT, and it's a big but, I don't have the money to finance my own forward motion. If you go to : www.garageband.com/artist/translations ,or www.myspace.com/christiantmcclainyou will be able to hear what it is I create. It is created on a laptop with a teeny tiny inlayed microphone , on a program (garageband) that has a pretty nice virtual board but I feel was never really intended as a full function multi track audio studio. therefore some sound quality loss is just how the cards are dealt. Fortunate for me, going to college for audio engineering, really paid off and enabled me to pull out the best sound that program could produce. What I hope to some day soon find is a distribution company, or even a full out label, who hears what I do and is willing to invest in me. so far I get good responses from my peers online and I am confident that this art could flourish if given the backing it needs Christian McClain

You sound like you could use what is offered. I implore you to read what is on this board and get back to us. I will check out your sound, later today after I am finished working here.
Again Christian, please read what I have labored so hard to write just for you. As time permits, I understand you are a busy person. Also, if you simply register with us, you will not be required to input codes for any reply or topic post. Thank you for posting, and I appreciate your interest and enthusiasm. Krysis

Christian, I like your music, I see what you intended as far as the other worldly sensation. The quality is very superb considering what you shared about your facilitation and your equipment.
Very pure, and no audible flaws that I noticed. Nice syntax in relation to your variations within the entire composition. 4 Stars out of a possible 5 in my book.
Taking into account your intended audience and your vision, I deducted the one point for commercial accessibility to a large audience. While I completely relate to your motivation to compose ethereal music, and it does have an audience, I would probably have to really reach out in a focused direction to help you market this. Not impossible, just very focused.
The genre is Ambient. In that realm you are almost a master. You have captured it better than most.
Very nice. Krysis ;D

Well, HEY Krysis!! You knew that I would be looking over all yer stuff, reading everything- and you knew I was on the fence.. ok.. I'm joining in on the fun! My name in this particular domain is Soundbarrier- basically because I plan to break DOWN the sound barrier! Some may know my tunes elseswhere and/or my name as Greg- you can call me that too..it's cool. In short- I TOTALLY SHRED ON GUITAR- (yes, I know that sounds like a big ego-thing.. but in real life I'm a nice guy- who happens to still shred on guitar!) my music is instrumental guitar rock that also fuses jazz, new age, world beat, classical and metal. Targeting fans of Jeff Beck, Stev Vai, Yngwie, Satriani..and presently I endorse Icy Hot to keep the fingers moving at lightning speeds LOL Anyhoo- it's great to be here and if any of you want to HEAR some of my stuff, well- I have some at Besonic www.besonic.com/GregK (check under songs) or my soundclick page www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=606986 try Beethoven's Bane or Dancing On The Edge for that fun-all-out-guitar-assault! This will hopefully give you a decent feel as to what some of my tunes are like and I'd LOVE to hear from you what you think of my tunes! Thanx a wicked lot and peace! -Soundbarrier.
